| I guess I should try to play The Walking Dead so I can appreciate the apparent HOLY SHIT FUCKING EPIC THANK GOD AWMIGHTY-ness of this development. | |

| You should, you definitely should.
If the latest image from The Walking Dead is anything to go by, the next couple episodes should be very interesting.
Oh and there is a new Infamous: Second Son trailer. Sexy particle effects brah!

| You really should. I went to the midnight release of the XB1. I didn't get one though, I was just keeping my friends company. Could've gotten on but I'll probably do so when the semester is over. Also this Quantum Break gif. looks awesome. Maybe we'll get a demo of the game soon. | |

| Looks like both the Xbox One and the PS4 are still looking for that first killer app. Hopefully Quantum Break and Infamous Second Son can be that for them. | |

| The PS3 or PSP version? I played about twenty minutes of the latter; one of the two games I played on my PSP Go that I spent $250 on. Ugh... | |

| Don't feel bad bro, I too got a PS Go. That wasn't a wise decision. I do want a Vita though.
So I had a epiphany that may allow me to get an Xbox One.
I wanted a smartphone and I wasn't aware of the service charge and quite honestly every kid in my school has their parent pay for it. So my dad told me to pay for it with the work money that I have. I decided not to. Then I had my epiphany where I said, oh I can get a new fancy XB1 with that work money. I asked my dad, but he still thinks I should get a smartphone. I really don't want one, I have a phone that works fine for $0 a month. I have an iPod, that granted only works in wi-fi areas, for another $0. Why combine the two devices and start paying $30 a month? I pay less on XB1 and PS Plus combined. I wouldn't spend all my work money, probably less than half of it. So yeah, I just gotta convince my father.

| If it's your money that you worked for, shouldn't you be allowed to spend it however you want? | |

| Yeah, I mean, when it comes down to it, he wouldn't say no, but he just kinda wants me to get a smartphone over an XB1. So I'm choosing the XB1 cause I'm a gamer. Once I actually get a stable job, because this money is coming from the two summer jobs that I've had, which I haven't spent a dime on at all, I'll probably go for a smartphone. As for right now, I think I'll get an XB1. It will be cheaper in the long run and I will definitely use it more than a smartphone.
Gonna wait till January. I want to play my PS4 and beat all of the games that I'm getting for it, then I'll order an XB1. I want to start this generation out right, have both systems from the start.

| Dead Rising 3 and, as much as I probably shouldn't, Ryse. Then definitely Titanfall in March. | |

| I'm back home for Thanksgiving. Quick: should I watch Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel first? | |

| Well, I went with Iron Man 3 (will be watching Man of Steel later tonight. My thoughts (probably don't need to use spoilers, since everyone here has probably seen it, but I'll do it just in case): - Spoiler:
I was disappointed. And I hated the Mandarin twist. Now I'm not some huge Iron Man fan who's super attached to the lore, so I don't inherently have a problem with them shaking things up. But I guess my issue with what they did is twofold. First, I just think that a movie with Kingsley as the villain who he was pretending to be would've been much more interesting than Guy Pearce (an actor who I do really enjoy) just playing a role that's pretty similar to Obadiah Stana and Justin Hammer. Kingsley would've been both a more unique and more threatening villain. Secondly - and this is my larger issue - I think having a villain with a more magical background would've been the far more fitting route to take given what's going on with Tony's character development. This is a guy who's always been at the absolute top of his field, a guy who's never met an obstacle he couldn't find some way to fix with technology. And suddenly he learns with the rest of the world that there are far greater forces out there than he ever realized, and he doesn't quite know how to deal with that information. Putting him in a position where he has to go up against one of those forces without really being prepared to do so would've been incredibly interesting to watch; that new challenge, along with Kingsley playing him, could've resulted in easily the most memorable villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far. There was just so much potential here, and I really don't feel like they delivered on any of it.

Okay, now I've seen Man of Steel as well. It was... okay. I really liked the performances from Shannon, Crowe, and Costner. The problem for me came with the two leads. While Cavill got the general presence of Superman mostly right, I didn't find his character arc to be particularly compelling, nor did he really prove to me that he's all that great an actor. Lois Lane, meanwhile, was horribly boring and unnecessary to me, and their romance added nothing to the movie. The pacing also wasn't perfect, and the overwhelming action was sometimes a bit much. So yeah; certainly not a disaster, but I would've liked something better to kickstart the DC cinematic universe.
I will say that after seeing the movie, I'm more content with the idea of Batman being in the sequel. Largely because I think having that sort of significant character for Superman to bounce off of could give the character a chance to really establish his personality in a way that he wasn't really able to here. I sort of wish they didn't need to bring in another huge character to do that, but oh well.

| Seriously, I need somebody to answer this for me: - Spoiler:
Why the goddamn hell was Lois in that plane towards the end? She wasn't military personnel, she wasn't needed for any particular objective. There was no reason for her to be there. WHY WAS SHE THERE???????
Also, Thanksgiving sucks. But I hope y'all have a good one.
