| DONKEY RACING IN TEXAS
A preacher wanted to raise money for his church, and being told that there was a fortune in horse racing, he decided to purchase one and enter it in the races. However, at the local auction, the going price for horses was so steep that the preacher ended up buying a donkey. He figured that since he had it, he might as well go ahead and enter it in the races. The donkey came in third. The next day the daily racing form carried the headlines, "PREACHER'S ASS SHOWS".
The preacher was so pleased he entered it again and this time it won. The form read "PREACHER'S ASS OUT IN FRONT". The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the preacher not to enter the donkey in another race. The news-paper headline that day read "BISHOP SCRATCHES PREACHER'S ASS". This was too much for the Bishop, and he ordered the preacher to get rid of the donkey.
The preacher decided to give it to the nearby convent. The headlines the next day read, "NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN". The Bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to dispose of the donkey. She finally found a farmer who was willing to buy the animal for $10,00. The next day the headlines read, "NUN PEDDLES ASS FOR TEN BUCKS".
They buried the Bishop the next day. The following day the headlines read, "TOO MUCH ASS RESPONSIBLE FOR BISHOP'S DEATH".

| ROFL!!! When I first started reading that I thought it was real, but then I got to the second headline, and I was like "Ooooooh, you!"
So I'm officially addicted to Firefly.

| It's pretty damn good. It's not much to be committed to though, only 15 episodes and a movie. | |

| That's it? A show cancelled before it gets better is terrible. | |

| Other than not cancelling The Simpsons because that show should have ended a long time ago. | |

| 1.) The never aired the planned pilot first. 2.) They forced Whedon to write the second episode as the pilot. 3.) They didn't promote it too well. 4.) They aired the episodes out of order, airing the more action-packed episodes first. 5.) They also felt the ratings were too low. 6.) Pretty big budget too. | |

| It was on after baseball and sometimes baseball runs over or gets cancelled so there wasn't an exact time it would be on. And it was on Fridays which are known not be good for TV Shows. As we all know, those who watch TV Shows on Fridays are forever alone because they aren't at parties or something. | |

| Yea it just sounds like the show fell because of bad management rather than the show itself kinda of bothers me seeing something fail because of something else. | |

| most of the time when shows get put on the Friday night death slot because the executives don't like it so they want to see it die as fast as it can. So whoever gave firefly that time slot must have not liked it. | |

| Grimm is on Fridays, does NBC want to kill that? It's been on for two seasons. | |

| @RAAM, it's likely Grimm will die sooner or later if it stays on the friday night death slot. | |
