Maybe. Don't recall it looking this bad when I saw gameplay demos, though. Oh, well. Graphics aren't everything.

I remember playing Dishonored when it first came out. I couldn't help but notice how muddy the textures were. I haven't finished unfortunately. Don't know if I ever will. Err, you know.. eventually...

I've jumped back into Bloodborne, and I plan to finish up MGS V sometime soon.

I envy you that you seem to still be able to buy and play a relatively decent amount of new releases. At this stage in my life, I am simply unable to get away with it from either a financial or time standpoint. Uncharted 4 is the only game I've bought this year, and I doubt I'll buy more than one of the new fall games.

I'm sorry Hammer. If it makes you feel any better, nothing good looks like it's coming out this fall.

Shut up, The Last Guardian will be amazing and certainly not a Duke Nukem Forever-esque disappointment. Yessir.

There's also always the chance that No Man's Sky could live up to its potential, though I'm still expecting there to be some kind of catch behind all the promises that the developers have made. But yeah, it doesn't really look like there are any absolute must-haves. But the same could be said for most of this entire console generation, IMO.

I'm looking forward to Gears 4 though, but I haven't been amazed by it or anything.

I feel like the industry's obsession with sequels has really come back to bite them in this generation. Like, I'm sure Gears 4 will be fine, but did the world really NEED another game in that series? I feel like that can be said for a large number of games that have been released over the past few years, and it seems like we haven't any truly transcendent games during that time period as a result.

I would have enjoyed another Gears game if it was like 2020+ or something.

Plus, it's Microsoft we're talking about here. The company that only has 3 IPs and their redheaded step-child named Fable.

And yet Fable is a series where I would actually like to see a sequel. As long as it was a real Fable game and not that Legends shit.

Apparently the new Bourne isn't that great. This summer has really sucked as far as movies are concerned.

I've gotten back into Destiny. The Taken King is pretty enjoyable, should have been Destiny from the start.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand SS is yet another terrible summer movie and DC movie. What the fuck is going on?

DC's problems run far deeper than their misguided trust in Zack Snyder, it seems. I mean, it seemed pretty obvious that their insistence on rushing to catch up with Marvel was problematic, but this shows just how much it's harmed them. If Wonder Woman doesn't do better with the critics, then I'm not sure what they can possibly do to right the ship.

I dunno man, three strikes now. I don't think I have faith in a single DC movie next year at this point. Disney for life.

Well, I pretty much can't have confidence in any company that willingly continues to employ Zack Snyder. Nevertheless, I'll hope for the best. It would fucking suck if Wonder Woman was terrible and subsequently failed at the box office, thereby giving studio executives the misguided notion that female-led action films can't be successful.

Captain Marvel will sell either way. And Rey will continue selling with SW. I'm sure females will be safe. Fuck man. If Captain Marvel ends up being leagues better than Wonder Woman, I'd laugh.

I'm done with looking forward to DC movies. I'll still go to see them with an open mind and all, but I'm not letting myself get excited anymore.

You like the Larson casting? I think she's a tremendous actress, but I'm not entirely sure she possesses the physical presence necessary for the role.

I'm 110% for Larson. I think it is fantastic casting.

As for physicality, I'm sure she'll be on the action movie diet and gym workout routine like every other actor.

I think at the end of the day we have to realize that Marvel somehow made Ant-Man make over half a billion dollars at the BO. They also made a movie about Ant-Man not suck too. Now of course, Marvel can totally fuck up a movie, but money wise, if they can gross that much for Ant-Man, every new character is pretty much a guaranteed hit unless their budget goes out of hand.

I've seen Suicide Squad.

The first half is pretty damn messy. Tons of exposition, terrible editing, weird effects, and overall it felt like a first time director's gig. The second half finds its footing, and it becomes a lot more enjoyable and easier to follow. However, even at this point the movie becomes pretty repetitive. I didn't like the Joker that much. Quinn, Deadshot, and Diablo were great though. Meh villain. 6.5/10

I'll try to see it sometime this week. Even with the bad reviews, I'm still expecting to like it more than Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman.
