My time in Game Dev was spent with C#, C++, Unity, the Unreal Engine, Maya, and Mudbox. We also did some web development which is where I realized I enjoyed that stuff more than the game stuff.

Web and Mobile is very good so far. I feel like the job opportunities are better, and I just wasn't too passionate about Game Dev.

Played some Divinity 2 original sin and it's kinda amazing, for the narration or narrator-part of it and now my main character is in jail and the 2 other party members are on the run.

I'm waiting to get The Evil Within 2 I hope it's going to be fun/good game.

I'll probably pick up TEW 2 and Wolfenstein 2 on Black Friday. I'll get Destiny 2 if they have the version that comes with the Season Pass on BF too. I was gonna get RE7 and Horizon Zero Dawn, but they have Gold/GOTY Editions coming out in December and I'd rather get that.

I'm waiting until I get cash to buy TEW2 and Gran Turismo Sports, I like racing games in small doses and Forza has been good but it has become a bit much with a release every year. Horizon was an alright game but nothing mindblowing, and RE7 was like a sofa evening game it's fun but nothing special. Destiny 2 I'm not even sure why I'm not playing it, it feels pretty good with the guns and have a good variety of guns but it might be the whole MP thing that keeps me away from it.

I really enjoyed Destiny 1 for what it was, but it still sucked that it was hyped up to be this huge event game. Destiny 2 looks more of the same, but D1 was very fun, so that's not exactly a bad thing. Also, I wasn't too close to the release of D2, but it definitely didn't seem like Bungie was hyping it up the way they did with D1. I think Halo as a franchise and Bungie as a company have really fallen since they both split up.

Also, I'm a huge Bioshock fan, so I'm getting Bioshock: 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition for Christmas.

when it came to Destiny they probably did not have a clear vision on what the game was going to be, they had too much lofty ideas on what it might be from a story perspective at-least. And they wanted to make a fantasy game first later a fantasy with scify elements but it turned into a scify schlock instead, I don't even remember what the story was about but never bought the expansion packs.

I kinda agree that halo has fallen from it's former self, it does not even resemble halo anymore. I played 4 realized that something was wrong. They over explained Master Chief he became something else, and it just became worse in halo 5.
Halo was also schlock but at-least it was good schlock, and it was fun.

I wonder what Taro Yoko is going to work on next, it seems like he wants to make a porn movie in his lifetime and still plotting to destroy the NieR series, I dunno how since automata kinda had a happy ending, maybe just make it a prequel series to Automata since it would not make allot of sense to have it be a prequel series to the first one.

I thought Assassin's Creed and Destiny 1 were very similar in being "proof of concept" games. AC 2 actually improved upon everything and is honestly probably one of the best sequels ever for that perspective of truly improving the ideas, concepts, and mechanics of a previous game. I thought D2 could have done that, but from reviews, and it's not bad, but they definitely did not do that.

I thought Halo 4's SP was decent but the MP was shit. Then Halo 5 had a shit SP and decent MP. Will Halo 6 fuse the two? The already disappointing factor is that Halo 6 is now at the end of this new trilogy, and I feel like it's accomplished nothing. I am absolutely nowhere near Halo 3 hype levels for 6. I mean, what the hell are they even attempting to conclude in this one? Not that Halo 5 should have had a gut punch of a cliff hanger like 2 did, but there's nothing meaningful they could do to wrap a plotline up. I honestly doubt Chief will get killed off, but I see that being the only thing they could do to make anything interesting. But with Halo 6, and the past two games, his death would probably be undeserved.

Haven't played NeiR, but I've heard it's good. It's not really my style of game, so I'll probably pass.

I can see that D1 could be seen as proof of concept game but when it was released you could see it was a glorified phantasy star online game but with some story in it. From the mission objective perspective and how it's an online game.

It's kinda still is a glorified phantasy star online game, if you look at early interviews and the gdc talk you can see that they did not know how to bring the original vision of the game when it came to lore and story intertwine. I personally think they should've done a Demon's/Dark Souls/bloodborne approach when it came to the lore. Just have the stats on the gear and weapons but tell the lore from those in the description and have a super simple plot that is just a to b, so you could remember the story when you have completed the game.

When it comes to Halo I stopped my interest when I played 5 I don't even remember the story.

NieR is pretty good or Automata is, and you don't even need to know the story of the first one there is only hints from the first one and it's so many years into the future from the first.

I might ask for the complete edition of Horizon: Zero Dawn for Christmas. But I don't even know when I would play it with school and work and relationship stuff and what not.

I did however find Shadow of War to be pretty fun, the microtransactions works with just playing the game when you slaughter a bunch of orcs you get some silvercoins and you can buy some lootboxes with one piece of rare gear.

Now I can play that game until the evil within2 comes in the mail, I'm so pissed that I had to buy the game on amazon because the 3 Norwegian store chains in the area did not order it because it was super niche. In their words all the while that one store had at-least 2 super niche tittles like YS7 and utawarerumono.

there is a chain that can resemble walmart but not really since they only have some triple A games and some old games that goes around in circulation you might say.

But no, the game could probably only be found if I would take the trip to another city, if not a big city that is about a 2 hour drive from where I live.
So yeah, amazon is a better solution at that point.

It sucks big time, but the problem is that the shops are buying the copies one could almost say that the numbers of games sold is kinda false since they don't return the games they buy from the distributor, instead they resell em as cheap games. So you got store chain that will sell games but when it sells poorly, what do they do? They send it to the other stores until it gets sold out. So you get this weird dynamic where you want to buy a new game but can't find it because it did not sell well, so as an example I did not find DooM ps4 version last month but this month I found it for about 30bucks or so. I wanted to buy Dark Souls 2 for ps4 buy could not find it but found it about 4 months later when it got back in their circulation.

Before it was more awesome when they actually sold niche games and when PC was not the hot shit, but when PC came back to popularity they switch from selling all sorts of games to just selling hardware and the most likely triple A games.

I'm rambling, but Norway is such a weird place. Kinda why I've mostly bought games from amazon so I can get what I want.

Go through my annual Halloween Marathon. Went through the Friday the 13ths that I enjoy, went through a majority of the Nightmare on Elm Streets, got two left. Now I'm beginning the Saw movies as Jigsaw, which will probably be shit, comes out this Thursday.

It's kinda weird that horror movies where better before.
I'm doing an anime marathon now it's Cowboy Bebop the weird thing about the blu ray discs is that it's not full hd 1080p.
